Recently the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor, and Treasury issued Part I of the Interim Final Rule of the No Surprises Act.
The intent of the Act is to address balance billing on a national scale. One large component of the Act is the required notice and consent provision.
CMS has issued notice and consent forms which providers and facilities can use. The forms can be downloaded here.
