Look closely at your commercial contracts. It is very likely it requires providers and staff to take fraud, waste, and abuse training offered by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). For a period of time the free online course was not available.
Here is the newly revised free online course. This course is great for onboarding and annual training.
Are you in compliance with your commercial contracts? It is not uncommon providers sign the agreements never looking closely to the terms outside of the fee schedule or reimbursement terms. Generally, there are provisions covering compliance and what you agree to do as a participating provider. If your practice is not large enough to hire a compliance officer or team this can easily be a service which you can purchase.
